2007 Digital Photo Contest

The Souris Branch hosted the first annual digital photo contest in 2007. The 2007 contest is now closed to entries. Thanks to everyone who have sent photos in. Contest entrants may be viewed HERE. The judging has been completed. The winners were announced at the official launch of our website on November 10, 2007.

Our contest was open to everyone that chose to participate. There were four official categories: Elementary school (grades 1-8), High School (grades 9-12), College/University and Adult. There will be a new contest commence on January 1, 2008.

Contest Rules:
The photo must be digital.
The photo must be taken in the year 2007.
The photo must be taken in the area that Souris Regional High School serves.
The photo must be of living birds, native animals, native flora, fauna, native sea creatures, patterns of cloud cover, sunsets and sunrises.
An individual, may summit an unlimited number of entries but only one prize per person.
Photo's emailed to: Waldron H. Leard, contest coordinator, with your name, home address, date of photo, location, category and phone number.
The deadline for submissions was October 22, 2007.
A judging committee was established which will consisted of people with professional expertise in this field.
All photos received, are displayed on our website with the overall winner and winners of each category displayed permanently.
Individual entries were displayed in Main Street Mall, Souris.
