Atlantic Salmon Project - 2009
Fishing Stories

This page will be dedicated to stories about Atlantic Salmon fishing in the Eastern Kings area. Over time we will be adding items for your enjoyment.


Fan Macintyre, a founding member of the Souris
& Area Branch of the P.E.I. Wildlife Federation is
a fly fisherman. He is a conservationist and has
a solid knowledge of the local area. He assists
the Branch from time to time.


Eve Bruce is a retired Registered Nursing Asst.
and a commercial fisherperson with her husband.
After some serious health issues, for her sport-
fishing is a hobby and the best therapy.
Please note: it was a mink, and not a weasel.


Eddie Gauthier, a charter member of the Souris &
Area Branch of the P.E.I.W.F., continues to have a
strong interest in the Branch and its activities. His
opinions are informed and respected.


Regan Paquet, a long time member of the Souris &
Area Branch of the P.E.I. Wildlife Federation was
a fly fisherman. He has a great knowledge of the
best spots. This story is about Mary Jane's Hole.


Eddie Gauthier, a charter member of the Souris &
Area Branch of the P.E.I.W.F., continues to fish
area streams and is happy to share his
enjoyment and fishing stories with others.


Francis A. White was born, raised and educated
in Souris West. Farmer, soldier, department and
business manager, musician volunteer and now
retired, Francis enjoys dropping his line!


Ronnie Campbell was born and raised, and lived
most of his life in Campbell's Cove. Ronnie
worked on streams for the Souris Wildlife
Federation, assisting his love - trout fishing!


Mickey MacDonald lived his life in Chepstow.
A commercial fisherman in hard times, he fished
trout for food and later as a hobby. Mickey was
a member of the old fish & game association.


Ronnie Campbell was born and raised, and lived
most of his life in Campbell's Cove. Ronnie
worked on streams for the Souris Wildlife
Federation, assisting his love - trout fishing!


Fred Ward moved to St. Catherines with his
family over 30 years ago. Committed to his
community Fred has been offer his advice
and opinions for the betterment of all.


Paul Gallant, a resident of Souris West fishes
from practically his front yard, as his home
faces onto the Souris River. He is been a long-
serving member of the Souris & Area Branch.
