| Two days of intensive labour, saw about 4,000 salmon from the Dover Fish Hatchery introduced into the Souris River. The salmon were trucked in from over an hour away. The buckets were filled with the water that the fish were transported in. Then the salmon were carefully placed in the buckets and carried to three separate locations each on two branches of the Souris River. This task was completed in two days. Great care was taken to prevent any mortality. On Day One, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Brian Higgins filmed the work and interviewed the leaders in this project. |
