Atlantic Salmon Project - 2009
Fishing Pond Restoration

The Souris & Area Branch of the P.E.I. Wildlife Federation spent time in 2009 assisting in the restoration of the Rollo Bay Pond. A beaver had moved in the previous fall and created issues. Following its safe removal, the pond was prepared for the settlement of Rainbow Trout from the Souris River system. This transfer allowed for the stocking of Atlnatic Salmon therefore with less competition from the agressive Rainbow.
