Video Interviews with Regan Paquet and John Robertson

The Basin Head area has a deep and rich history. Two men, familiar with the area, spoke of the many facets of the area for the watershed planning project.

Regan Paquet was born and raised in Souris. He is well known for his deep love of area social and natural history, as well as being a talented artist and artisan. Mr. Paquet was employed as an early site director for the Basin Head Fisheries Museum. In his videos, he describes the early Native history, as well as his observations of the the local environment.

Capt. John Robertson is a son of the late Capt. Robert E. "Robbie" Robertson (1903-1993). John followed his father into work as a Commercial Fisherman. His first fleet was out of the port of Basin Head. In Capt. Robertson's videos, he describes the area, the fishery of days past, and environmental life of the region.
