Interview with Edward Gauthier
Edward Gauthier was born in North Rustico and raised and educated in Souris West. His family moved there when he was five years of age. He worked on a small farm and was also a commercial fisherman out of the Port of Souris. Mr. Gauthier has been a committed community volunteer for many years, serving with the Knights of Columbus and various positions within St. Alexis Parish in Rollo Bay. Eddie was a member of the Souris Regional High School board and as a member of the Souris CO-OP, Souris Credit Union and the P.E.I. Housing Board.
He was an early member of the Souris Branch, after the reestablishment following the old Fish & Game Association. Mr. Gauthier has been an office holder and is a past-president.
