| Interview with Fan MacIntyre |
 | Capt. Fan MacIntyre was born, raised and educated in Souris. Fan worked for many years fishing on the local draggers, leaving the industry as a captain. He then served with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans as a fisheries officer. Community minded, Capt. MacIntyre volunteered in various aspects of community life, including a term on the Souris Town Council. With the close of the old Souris Fish & Game Association and the establishment of the Souris & Area Branch of the P.E.I. Wildlife Federation, Fan was one of the founding members. His grandson, Calvin, was an enhancement work with the Federation in the summer of 2009. |
