The Souris & Area Branch of the PEI Wildlife Federation hosted its 28th Annual Wildlife Fundraising Dinner on Dec. 15th 2008. It was a tremendous success with approximately 180 people in attendance. The main course was roasted Buffalo and baked Atlantic Salmon with strawberry shortcake for dessert. The meal was preceded with hot steaming Atlantic Mussels and tables of h `orderves which consisted of many species of smoked fish and meat on crackers. The entertaining evening was filled with raffle items, door prizes and followed with a live auction under the direction of auctioneer Rob Barry. Auction items consisted of wildlife prints, wildlife crafts and wildlife related objects. The success of this event is attributed many dedicated volunteers, grateful donors and an audience that are in full supports of the environmental efforts of the Souris & Area Branch. |
