In the fall of 2006, this web site was commenced to offer to the world, the many and varied activities of the Souris and Area Branch of the P.E.I. Wildlife Federation. This site's function is two-fold - education and to spread the good news and many successes of the Federation's activities. On Saturday November 10, local citizens crowded into the Souris CAP site to view the site, mingle with neighbours and friends and to congratulate the winners of the First Annual photo contest. The chair of the afternoon's proceedings, Fred Cheverie, gave a brief tour of the site. Thanks to the presenters Paul Deveau, Souris Mayor Joanne Reid, Jana Cheverie from Ducks Unlimited, the Hon. Allan Campbell, Fred Ward of the Souris & Branch of the P.E.I. Wildlife Federation and Mrs. Camilla MacPhee representing Home Hardware. Thank-you to Right Bite Catering for supplying the refreshments. Thanks to those who supplied the door prizes and the awards for the contest. Finally, thanks also to Zach O'Keefe, Melvin Ford and Joanne Reid for their assistance and the Souris Enhancement Corporation for the use of their facility.
