Good News - Accentuating The Positive Many knowledgeable and experienced people are members of the Souris Branch of the P.E.I. Wildlife Federation. They seek to educate the general public as to not only the activities the Branch is involved in, but also the ways of nature and the issues that surface from time to time. November 16, 2007 - Sally Pitt from C.B.C. Charlottetown's Compass interviewed Fred Cheverie in Bear River regarding the issues that an overpopulation of Beavers have created. May 23, 2008 - Mitch Cormer of C.B.C.'s Island Morning interviewed Waldron Leard in Glencorradale for the special show celebrating the extension of coverage through 92.3 FM, regarding the Big Tree. Radio News in Charlottetown interviewed Fred Cheverie, Garry Gregory, Anthony MacDonald and Barry Wilson in Gowan Brae regarding the H.A.D.D. project July 31, 2008 - Ian Petrie from C.B.C. September 12, 2009 - Karen Mair of C.B.C.'s Island Morning interviewed Waldron Leard in Kingsboro and Randy Dibblee in Charlottetown regarding Waldron's encounter with a Bobcat. December 7, 2009 - Steve Cheverie, Fred Cheverie, Waldron Leard and Fred Ward promoted the 29th. Annual Wildlife Dinner with Kevin 'Boomer" Gallant of C.B.C. Charlottetown's Compass.
